The Executive Chairman, Igbogbo/Baiyeku Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Omo’ba Hammed Olalekan Aroyewun (HOA), has charged Christians in his council to take time to reflect on the love, sacrifices and the eventual death as they commemorate the Good Friday which is solemn period that signifies the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.
In a statement marking the day, Aroyewun also charged them to see hope in his death and resurrection.
“Today, we remember solemnly the ultimate sacrifice. On this Good Friday, we stand in awe of the love that carried our Saviour to the cross. “For He shall save His people from their sins”, these words echo the very heart of Christ’s mission, fulfilled through His suffering and death for our redemption.

“To my dear Christian brothers and sisters across Igbogbo/Baiyeku LCDA and beyond, let us pause in reverence and gratitude. Let us reflect on the depth of His love, the weight of His sacrifice, and the hope that was born even in the shadow of the cross.
“May this day draw us closer to the foot of Calvary, where mercy met mankind. May it renew our commitment to love, serve, and uplift one another as Christ has taught us.
“Wishing you a meaningful and blessed Good Friday.”
